ACCA Poetry Reading Competition

ACCA conducted its First Annual Poetry Reading Competition this past Friday afternoon. Individual students and groups from grades 1-6 competed, and prizes were awarded for the best poetry reading in each grade as well as the best original poetry reading overall. Scoring was partly based on clarity of speech, volume, inflection and eye contact. The esteemed judges were three teachers from the secondary school: Mrs. Eve Marks, Miss Helene Ranwez, and Mr. Brett Edwards. Congratulations to all students on a job well done! Winners included:
1st Grade - 1st grade class
2nd Grade - Elliot Casey, Patrick McGhee and Zachary Heacock
3rd Grade - Jakeb and Jared Sanders
4th/5th Grade - Jenna White and Brenna Crowgey
6th Grade - Elizabeth Casey
