Presybterian Village Field Trip
by Belinda Mcdonough
January 21, 2009

Mrs. Laura Keesee and her Kindergarten class visited Presbyterian Village in Austell on Wednesday, January 21. In preparation for the trip, Mrs. Keesee talked with the class about interacting with the elderly and the importance of the elderly in our society. The class was excited to share what they have been learning with the residents. They did a great job reciting bible verses and poems. They also entertained everyone with some lovely hymns.
Afterward, the children greeted the residents with smiles and handshakes. They were so gracious as they mingled about getting to know everyone! The residents enjoyed talking with the children about their hobbies and interests. One resident even made plans to meet a student for a round of golf! It was a fun morning and a great opportunity for the young and the elderly to share some time together.
